Solid Wood Montessori Shape Puzzle – Triangle, Circle, and Square

This handcrafted solid-wood shape puzzle brings children lots of joy while they play, helping to develop their fine motor skills and ability to concentrate.

This is a Montessori material. The Montessori method is based on a child’s natural development and curiosity. All activities are child-centered, with the goal of supporting and fostering independence. Child-centered activities do not mean that a child can do whatever they want, but rather that the environment meets their developmental needs and, within that framework, they have the freedom to act independently.

The Estonian Montessori Association recommends: the triangle-square-circle puzzle. This tool consists of three shapes with buttons in different colors. Matching these shapes helps develop a child’s ability to concentrate, visual perception, and fine motor skills. Working with the knobbed puzzle shapes supports the development of proper pencil grip and strengthens hand muscles. Since each shape fits only in its correct place, the toy helps develop the child’s problem-solving skills.
